This Privacy Policy explains how CulturAll collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the CulturAll mobile application and related web pages.

1. Scope

CulturAll is a museum companion app that helps visitors identify artworks, receive written and audio explanations, ask follow-up questions, save discoveries, manage an account, and access paid passes through in-app purchases.

This policy applies to the CulturAll mobile app, the CulturAll website, and shared artwork pages generated through the app.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and improve CulturAll. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

  • Account information: email address, account identifier, first name, last name, phone number provided during account registration, subscription tier, pass expiry, and usage counters.
  • Artwork and visit content: photos or images you choose to capture or upload, artwork explanations, saved artworks, notes, tags, ratings, questions, answers, audio files, visit plans, and shared artwork links.
  • Camera and photo library data: images are accessed only when you choose to take or select a picture for analysis or saving.
  • Location data: approximate or precise location may be used, with your permission, to detect the museum or cultural venue near you.
  • Audio and microphone data: the app may request audio-related permissions for features that involve playback, generated audio, or voice-related interactions where available.
  • Purchase information: product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase tokens, store name, pass plan, and purchase validation status. Payment card details are processed by the relevant app store or payment platform and are not collected by CulturAll.
  • Device and technical information: device/session identifiers, app state, diagnostics, network requests, error logs, and security information needed to keep the service working and prevent abuse.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • authenticate users and maintain account sessions;
  • analyze artwork photos, labels, or visitor questions;
  • generate written explanations, audio commentary, answers, and visit plans;
  • save and sync artworks, preferences, notes, and visit history when you sign in;
  • detect nearby museums when you grant location permission;
  • validate purchases and activate paid passes;
  • enforce usage limits, protect the service from abuse, and diagnose errors;
  • respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising.

4. Service providers and sharing

CulturAll relies on trusted service providers to operate the app. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services to us.

  • Account and authentication providers: account creation, login, account security, and session management.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers: hosting, storage, databases, generated audio files, secure temporary file links, and service reliability.
  • App store and payment platform providers: in-app purchase processing, transaction validation, refunds, and purchase status.
  • Content processing providers: artwork images, labels, questions, and related context may be processed by providers used to generate explanations, identify artworks, answer questions, produce audio, or retrieve cultural context.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users and the service, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

5. App permissions

CulturAll may ask for access to the camera, photo library, location, internet connection, and audio-related capabilities. You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without the related permission.

6. Data retention and security

We keep account, saved artwork, purchase, usage, and support information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

Shared artwork pages are designed to be accessible to anyone with the link. Please share links only with people you trust. We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You can control app permissions through your device settings. You can sign out of your account in the app. You may also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection where these rights apply.

To request account deletion or deletion of personal data associated with your account, contact us at [email protected] from the email address linked to your CulturAll account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

8. Children

CulturAll is intended for a general museum audience and is not directed to children under 13. If a child uses CulturAll, it should be with the permission and supervision of a parent, guardian, teacher, or responsible adult. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on the website.
